There is a movie out there that absolutely must be seen by every person alive today. It is that good. The movie is filled with mystery, drama, cutting edge acting, and the best script that has ever been turned into a movie. The movie I’m talking about, is Pulp Fiction. This instant classic should not only be seen by everybody, but the DVD must be in everyone’s household. It is that fantastic.

Our story starts out with a couple of guys who are driving up to an apartment for one reason or another. One of them has just returned from Europe, and is entertaining the other about his tales. His dubious collaborator can’t wait to go and hop on over for himself. When they pull up to the apartment complex, we realize the two characters are hit men, and have come to collect some type of expense or something.

One of the things that makes Pulp Fiction so amazingly interesting is the inventive dialogue that presumably goes all over the place, and is appealing in and of itself. The writer and director, Quentin Tarantino, is well identified for his skill to make straightforward dialogue fresh and thrilling.

We then follow these two hit men, and other comparable stories right through the movie as they become mixed up in one compelling web of tales that presumably roll right into each other. How this can materialize in only just a few hours is beyond comprehension, but the acting, the writing, and the incredible scenarios make this one movie that you utterly cannot miss.

In what is likely the most repeated soliloquy in all of modern movies, one of the hit men recites a legendary line from the Old Testament, where he claims to be a defender of lost sheep before he puts a bullet in the brain of his inopportune victim. As the movie winds up to a close, the hit men questions which of the characters he in fact is in this imagined line from the Holy Text. In the conclusion of the movie, he has a alteration of heart, and decides to walk the earth in a quest for truth, instead of killing people for a living. Maybe there will be a sequel in that.

In what is likely the most astonishing piece of movie making, the ending scene rolls right into the scene which opened the movie, before the opening credits even started. A young couple, having determined to hold up a diner, because they feel it will be much easier to milk the clientele rather than a cash register protected by a firearm toting store owner. Since its release, Pulp Fiction was an instantaneous classic, and should be seen by everybody.
